Profile
Mark Cruz graduated from Rutgers University with a BA in Journalism and Media Studies in 2006 and has been working in the HIV/AIDS field since 2007. Since 2007, Mark has focused on HIV Prevention with the Men who have sex with Men (MSM) population.
Mark was part of the planning body that helped to create a weekend retreat format of the EBI, Many Men, Many Voices (3MV) and actively participates in the New Jersey HIV/AIDS Planning Group (NJHPG) MSM Workgroup committee.
Statewide Technical Assistance
Cruz is a Program Coordinator I on the HIV Prevention CPSDI team providing the following types of technical assistance for Division of HIV, STD and TB Services grantees:
- program development
- program evaluation
- quality assurance planning
- needs assessment (including conducting focus groups)
- EBI support including:
- coordinating quarterly meetings
- maintaining a web based clearinghouse of materials
- coordinating a listserv
- providing fidelity monitoring visits
Statewide Training
Cruz provides training in Many Men, Many Voices (3MV) curriculum (from Centers for Disease Control's EBIs). He also provides training in Effective Facilitation Skills, Stigma, and Holistic Health Recovery Program.
