This document provides basic information and contact information related to HIV HE/RR prevention projects funded by the Division of HIV, STD and TB Services (DHSTS), New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services (NJDHSS), as well as important information about the guiding principles upon which these activities are grounded.
Thirty-nine community-based projects provide HIV prevention HE/RR services with funding from the DHSTS, NJDHSS. Among these projects, 18 target people living with HIV infection and all target urban, African American and Latino men, women or youth who are at risk of acquiring or transmitting HIV either sexually or by injection drug use. All projects are located in urban, suburban, and rural areas heavily impacted by the HIV epidemic, including 17 cities and the New Jersey counties heavily impacted by HIV infection. Descriptions of these projects are listed by county in this directory.
